Tom and I would like to send our condolences to the family. Tom always loved stopping by to visit with aunt Helen and uncle Kenny every time he took a trip to Nova Scotia. Unfortunately there were a few times he couldn't stop by due to covid or power outages. Sitting with both aunt Helen and uncle Kenny listening to the old stories was something he looked forward to. Dear Dawn, Stephen, Beth, Hazel and Johnny and all family members, I am so blessed to have married into this family where wonderful thoughts and memories of our times together will never be forgotten. After Fred passed away, I was able to spend more time with Helen and these past couple of years have been more than rewarding. We talked about our men folk a lot, sharing moments when we were together in Florida, and at home. A cute memory, Fred had stayed with Helen and Kenny in Kingston just before we were married, and he had applied to DuPont fabric factory for a job. Since he was colour blind, Helen showed him all sorts of colorful items for his upcoming test, including her unmentinables. We laughed over that for years. I am also proud to say that I own one of Helen's original paintings and it is bragged about to all my visitors who see it. Sadly, I will not be able to attend her funeral on Friday, but my heart will be with each and everyone in her extraordinary family and to her countless friends.
