Obituary of Logan Allison Chisholm

Logan Allison Chisholm, 89, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Egerton and Halifax, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in the Manor.

Born in Economy, he was a son of the late James and Muriel (Marsh) Chisholm.  Logan attended Macdonald College of McGill University in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a Greenhouse Technician with the Biology Department at Dalhousie University, Halifax. Previously he was employed with Annapolis Vally Greenhouses for six years and had worked as a veterinary technician for three years. Logan thoroughly enjoyed his career and loved gardening.  He maintained an impressive garden at his Egerton residence for many years for all passers by to enjoy.  Logan was a member of the former Sutherland’s River Presbyterian Church, Sutherland’s River, where he served as an Elder, in the choir and was active with the Men’s Fellowship.

Surviving are his sister, Geneva Chisholm, Pictou; brothers, George (Sylvia) Chisholm, Summerside, P.E.I.; Arthur (Marion) Chisholm, Enfield; two nieces and six nephews; several grand nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Rena Arbuckle; brothers, Ronald, Sheldon and Emerson Chisholm; sister-in-law, Donna Chisholm.

His family will celebrate his life privately.
