Obituary of Teresa Marie Morrison

Teresa Marie Morrison, 61, Linacy, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 23, 2025, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow following a brief illness.

Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late King Alexander and Vivian Jeanette (Silver) Rector. Prior to early retirement, Teresa worked as a Continuing Care Assistant with Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. She enjoyed camping with family and friends and camping throughout the Maritimes.  Teresa fondly remembered her trips to Jamica and trip to Cuba, where many lasting memories were made. Teresa held a special love for all her pets and her children’s pets, she loved to spoil them. Teresa enjoyed getting out for drives and spending time getting coffee with her friends. Teresa was a caring and compassionate person, who possessed a “good heart”.  Her family was her priority, always making sure her family were well looked after.  Teresa will be fondly remembered for her Christmas baking, which would begin in November and distributed throughout until Christmas Eve.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph Thomas “Joe” Morrison; sons, Jason Morrison, Linacy; Matthew Morrison (Kate), Elmsdale; brothers, Robert (Joann) Rector, Thorburn; James (Cathy) Rector, Thorburn; Brian (Shelley) Rector, Westville; maternal uncles, Robert (Jeanie) Silver, Linacy; paternal aunts, Florence MacAulay, Pine Tree; Millie Rector, Pine Tree;  paternal uncles, John (Diane) Rector, Pine Tree; Bob Beaton, New Glasgow; niece, Kathlyn Rector; nephews Jeremy and Brad Rector; many cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Robert Rector; several aunts and uncles.

 At Teresa’s request, her family will honour her life privately.
