Obituary of Lewis Herbert Pitts

 

Lewis Herbert “Luke” Pitts, 60, Hillside, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025, at home with his wife, Pearl, by his side after a lengthy illness.  

   

Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Lewis Herbert and Louella Jean (Misner) Pitts. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29, Trenton and Branch 631, Collins Bay, Ont. Lewis was an avid dart player, having belonged to the Kingston Dart Association, Royal Canadian Legion Dart league and the Ontario Dart Association. Lewis had many friends whom he considered his ‘brothers’, John, Turk and Richard, to name a few. They, and all his many friends, enjoyed spending time together playing pool and darts in the shed.

 

Surviving are his partner, Mary Pearl Walsh; sons, Matthew Pitts and Jordan Pitts, Kingston, Ont.; step-daughter, Gina Paris (Daniel), Brampton; step-son, Trevor Paris (Nina), Lower South River; grandchildren, Jayden, Amelia, Grayson, Andrew, Alex, Matthew, Esme and Alayah; sister, Jean Ann Pitts (Terry), Eureka; brother, Mark A. (Sandy) Pitts, Gananoque, Ont.; nieces, Kelsey Snyder (Brian) and Magan Grant (Alan); several aunts and uncles; many cousins.

  

The family will receive visitors 10-10:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 1 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.

  

No flowers by request. Donations may be made in memory of Louis to Pictou County SPCA.
