Obituary of Freda Falconer

Alfreda Ferne “Freda” Falconer, 63, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Saturday, April 19, 2025, in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, after a brief illness.

Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late James Frederick and Margaret Jane (Fisher) Falconer.  Freda worked at Michelin Tire, Granton, for over 37 years.

Surviving are her sisters, Margie MacDonald, New Glasgow; Patsy Falconer, New Glasgow; niece, Deanne Falconer; nephew, Jesiah MacDonald; grandson, Jace Bugden.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Ashley Jane Bugden in infancy; son, James Robert “JR” Bugden; partner, Brian MacLane.

A celebration of life will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 1 in the North End Recreation Centre, New Glasgow.

Donations may be made in memory of Freda to the Canadian Cancer Society or Aberdeen Health Foundation Palliative Care Fund.
