Art retired as Sgt. from the RCMP in 1973 and they moved to the Annapolis Valley. Art passed away on March 19, 1983. She is also survived by nephews and nieces, Dane, David, Helen, Joyce and Dick, several cousins, all who held a special place in her heart. The joy of her life was her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the fur babies.

The following was written by our mom, always wanting to be prepared. "Our Mom (and nanny and "big nanny") was famous for the care and support of her children and grandchildren. She was unwavering in her kindness and giving of herself to friends, family and strangers. Known especially for her cooking, chauffeuring and as her grandchildren’s number one fan at every concert, game, graduation and event. She was always there when we needed her. Many looked forward to her cookies/squares and particularly the nuts and bolts at Christmas. She was deeply loved by her large network of family and friends. Her kindness and positivity and love of family will be carried forward in the lives of those that knew her. To the staff at Shannex – Blomidon Court, we thank you for everything. You are heroes."

A graveside funeral will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14 in Garden of Eden Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Orchard Valley United Church, the Fundy Food Bank or the charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.

"And He walks with me, and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own...."

Keep singing in Heaven Mom!

Lovingly submitted by family.
