Alexander Stephen “Steve” MacLean, 57, Westville, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by his family and close friends.

Born in Fredericton, N.B., he was the son of Alexander “Sandy” Fraser MacLean and Lila Jane (Allen) MacLean. Steve was a Red Seal mechanic, having been employed with Ceilidh Honda, New Glasgow for over 15 years. He spent much of his free time riding and working on his beloved vintage Honda CB750 motorcycle, and he loved offering his help to any friends and family that needed it, along with his incredible sense of humor. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, loyalty, and humble passion.

Surviving besides his parents, Sandy and Lila, Truro, are his daughter, Justine, Westville, and her mother, Laurie, New Glasgow; brother, Greg (Lynne), Moncton; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive visitors 1 – 1:50 p.m. Saturday, July 12 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. with Rev. Catherine Crooks presiding.  Private interment will be in MacLean Cemetery, Hopewell.
