Obituary of Christine Ann Crowther
Christine Ann Crowther, 67, Stellarton, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 17, 2025, surrounded by her family and dogs, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Toronto, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Henry and Christine Ann (Piltcher) Clark. Christine had been a cook for over 40 years in various restaurants throughout Pictou County and had worked in Environmental Services at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow for five years prior to retirement in June of this year. She enjoyed spending time in her pool and backyard. Christine enjoyed cooking and being surrounded by her family. Her dogs, Benny and Allie were her constant companions who brought comfort and joy to her life. Christine loved travelling with her best friend, Lisa, and they made many enjoyable trips south of the border. She leaves a legacy of selflessness and hard work, always putting her family first.
Surviving are her sons, Jason Crowther (Shelly Pound), Lyons Brook; Jamie (Jody) Crowther, Westville; Jeff (Kara) Crowther, Louisdale; grandchildren, Christie Nugent, Kourtney Jones, Morgan Stewart, Briea Crowther, Jalon Crowther, Brooks Crowther and Lane Crowther; great-grandchildren, Carmen, Peyton, Daylon, Nora and Easton; sister, Joanne Tye, Westville; brothers, Teddy Clark and Tim (Joanna) Clark, Stellation; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Lisa Megeney, Lakeside.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Rhonda Crowther; brothers, Elliott and Richard; niece, Lindsay Tye; nephew, Chad Campbell; father of her children, Harvey Earl Crowther.
The family will receive visitors 1-1:50 p.m. Sunday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Ms. Lisa Megeney officiating.
Christine’s family wishes to thank her daughter-in-law, Jody and best friend, Lisa for their unwavering love and support, which enabled her to spend her final days at home with Benny and Allie. They also wish to thank the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care team for the excellent care Christine received.
