Penny and I met at Sobeys office, but our connection of growing up in Truro area made us fast friends. She was so proud of her girls and her feather babies. I loved exchanging stores of our kids and hearing the difference between her being a mom of girls and me a mom of boys - although she would comment that Sarah was her tomboy :). She always said good morning and made sure to make you feel noticed. You'll be greatly missed Penny.

Although I did not have the privilege of knowing Penny-Ann personally, I’ve come to understand the deep impact she had on those around her. As the HR partner supporting her team, I’ve witnessed the admiration and respect her colleagues held for her.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. May her memory continue to inspire the kindness, dedication, and strength she brought to her work and to those she worked with.
With sympathy,
Paula Gilbert

We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Penny Ann's passing. I worked with her at Sobeys for the past few years and got to know her and the one thing that shone through was how much she loved her family especially her daughters and chickens. She will be missed greatly. A big hug is being sent to the family. Hold your memories close to your heart.

I had the honor of being one of the trainer's for the Sobeys Safeway Project and working side by side with Penny. We often said throughout that year that 15 people walked in as strangers and we walked out as family.
Penny was an absolute joy to be around. Always smiling, happy, caring and kind. Her family was her world! I feel blessed to know I got to be a member of her Sobeys Head Office family!! Rest easy my friend.
To Millie, Sara ,Jason and family I am so sorry for your loss .

I first met Penny in 2006 when we lived in the same apt building in Lourdes. Our children were quite young then, and we bonded over being mothers of toddlers. Throughout the years she has been a staunch supporter, offering a kind word or advice.
She was such a kind, gentle soul as we navigated this life throughout the years.
To Jason, Milllie, Sarah & the rest of the family, to you I send my most absolute sincere condolences & sympathies at this most difficult time.

I first met Penny, as many others did, at Convergys. She was a wonderful coworker, always willing to help however it was needed. She always had that beautiful smile on.
We bought eggs from Penny and girls for awhile and always had to hear the latest chicken updates.
She was the rock of her family and will be sorely missed by so many.

I worked with Penny for many years at Sobeys. Penny was pleasant and someone that always took the time to say hello, wherever our paths crossed. She beamed when talking about her girls and took great pride in their accomplishments. She will be missed by her family at Sobeys. We should all remember how Penny always took time for pleasantries and remember to do the same in her honour. To her girls and her family, you were her heart and she was proud to show that to us. She will be dearly missed.

My sincerest condolences. Penny was not just a colleague—she was a cherished part of our team. Compassionate, generous, and always ready to lend a helping hand, she brought kindness and light to every day. She often spoke lovingly of her family — including the chickens — and it was clear how much they meant to her. She will be deeply missed by all of us at Sobeys. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I had the honour of working with Penny in NDI at Sobeys when she came to this department.
She was a very kind, generous and thoughtful person that will be missed by her co-workers.
She would often bring me in one of her famous Peanut Butter cookies when she whipped up a batch for you guys, knowing that her PB cookie would not raise my sugars too much.
Sometimes there are no words for a loss so great, I am sending my sincerest condolences to all of you.
Cherish your memories, these memories will help you in the days and months to come.
