Obituary of Lois Mary Gerrior
Lois Mary Gerrior, 82, Trenton, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 25, 2025.
Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Mildred Lillian Weatherbee. Lois possessed a strong faith in her Lord and was a faithful member of the Church of the Holy Name, Westville. She was a former member and executive member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 28, Stellarton. Current member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 13, Ottawa. Lois was an avid bowler with the former Kimberly Clark mixed bowling league, an avid card player and greatly enjoyed attending the Legion dances. For Lois, “Life has changed; not ended!”
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Clarence; sons, Stephen Gerrior, Trenton; John Gerrior, New Glasgow; aunt “sister”, Gloria MacNeil, Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her mother, she was predeceased by grandparents, Frank and Ethel (Chapman) Weatherbie; aunts and uncles who were considered sisters and brothers, Lila MacLean, Muriel Langille, Bernetta Porter, Frances Carrigan, Ethel Mae Whitty, Viola Ransome, Angelina Murphy and Veronica in infancy; George Weatherbie, Frank “Bubs”, Anthony, John and Garfield Weatherbie.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 28 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral Mass will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 29 in the Church of the Holy Name, Westville with Father Peter J. MacDonald presiding. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
