Obituary of Beverly Marie Clark

With heavy hearts, we share that Beverley Marie Clark, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. 

She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and treasured friend. Beverly’s life was a testament to faith, family, and love. Her kindness and warmth touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born in Windsor, she was a beloved daughter of the late Laurenda Croxen and Elias States. Beverly will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kindness, and the unconditional love she so freely gave. She touched countless lives with her compassion, generosity, and readiness to lend a helping hand. Her memorable laugh, strong drive, and unwavering strength uplifted everyone around her.

Her warm smile and nurturing presence brought joy and comfort, leaving behind cherished memories that will never fade. Beverly’s legacy will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Clark, with whom she built a life of deep love, enduring companionship, and precious memories.

She was a proud mother to Elias Downey, Tallahassee El Bey "Eric" Downey, Evelyn Downey, Debbie Barret and a devoted stepmother to Francis Clark (Sue) and Julie Clark, whom she embraced with a mother’s heart.

Beverly’s love extended through generations to her grandchildren, Ashia, Rashida, Jermain, Devinito, Jurell, Magen, Aaron, Liam and Daija, and to her cherished great-grandchildren, Talon, Natéya, Janaé, Tayvon, Alaya, Amaya, Lepeah, Naimah, Nevaeh, King, Jayah, Javell, Javon, and Amira.

Beverly’s memory will be cherished by her siblings, Primrose States, Trudy States, April Jenkins, and Jonie Whitehead, and her numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her dear siblings Blair Whitehead, Debbie Whitehead, and Mona Whitehead.

The family will receive visitors 10 – 10:50 a.m. Friday, September 19 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with Pastor Clara Jordan officiating.  Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor.
