Obituary of Alexander Fraser Morrison
Alexander Fraser “Sandy” Morrison, 68, Coalburn passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 27, 2025, at home surrounded by his wife, daughter and granddaughter.
Born in Thorburn, he was a son of the late Lyons and Ida (Morrison) Cameron. Prior to retirement in 2007, he was employed with MacGregor’s Custom Machining, Coalburn for 25 years. He enjoyed four-wheeling with his dog, Lucy. Sandy enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, trapping and fishing. He treasured spending time with his children and grandchildren. Above all, he loved being with his wife, Marilyn, content to be in his “castle”, spending time with the love of his life.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Marilyn (Stroud) Bobyk; daughters, Shawna Bobyk, Truro; Natalie MacInnis, Edmonton, Alta; son, JD Bobyk, Terrace, B.C.; grandchildren, Rebecca Houle, Benadette Haule and Fox Thomas; sister, Latishia Jobe, Westville; brothers, Gary Cameron, Thorburn; Barry (Heather) Cameron, Thorburn.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Eddie Cameron.
In honour of Sandy’s wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately.
Donations may be made in Sandy’s memory to the Pictou County SPCA.
