Obituary of Maureen Dean
Shirley Maureen Dean, 73, Kenzieville, passed away, Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
Born in Goose Bay, N.L., she was a daughter of the late Alexander Ronald and Pearl Frances (George) Delage. Prior to retirement, Maureen was a Continuing Care Assistant at Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow for many years. She loved the simple things in life. She was very outgoing, loved to dance, loved going camping, going to the beach, taking long drives listening to the oldies, and she had an amazing sense of humour.
Surviving are her children, Dwayne (Amanda), Ron (Leanne), Chris (Leona), Collin, RosaLee (Mike), and Chasity; grandchildren, Michaela, Tristan, Chelsea, Gracie, Jax, Jake, Renae, Ruby, Marrissa, Emma, Jessica, Aden, Ava; great-grandchildren, Athena, Liliana and Beau; sisters, Francine, Jeanette and Rebecca; brothers, Ron (Deanne); sister-in-law, Margaret; brothers-in-law, Jack, Charlie (Sarah) and Bob (Chrissy); numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Benjamin Arthur “Ben” Dean; sons, Nicholas Adam “Nick” Dean and Benjamin Edward Dean; brother Mike, sisters-in-law, Arlene, Judy, Eva and Sue; brothers-in-law, Dave, Earl Sr.; Wilfred and Earl Jr.; several nieces and nephews.
In honour of Maureen’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held 2-4 p.m., Saturday, November 29 in the Kenzieville & District Community Centre. All are welcome to come and share memories.
