Obituary of Karen Louise Jimmo

Karen Louise Jimmo, 63, Little Harbour Road, passed away at home on November 28, 2025 after a very brave fight against cancer. 

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Sally(Hawboldt) MacDonald of Little Harbour Road.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Tony Jimmo; son, Matthew and granddaughter, Brooklynn Jimmo; daughter, Melissa Jimmo (Anas); brother, Darrell (Sharon) MacDonald; sister and best friend, Kathy (Joe) Fraser; brother, Todd (Leanne) MacDonald.

Karen worked at the Pictou county Co-op for several years before working at west side Sobeys up until two days before her diagnosis. She loved her job and her customers, many of whom had a lasting impact on her.

Karen had the biggest heart and was always thinking about others. She had such a zest for life, especially after she beat cancer the first time. She was always up for an adventure. She loved to hike, kayak and experience new things. Most of all, she loved her friends, family and her dogs Beau and Quinn.

The family would like to thank the VON and the palliative care team. You were a bright spot in her days and for that we are so grateful.

In honour of Karen’s wishes, her friends and family will celebrate her life privately.
