Obituary of Aldena Rose Geddes

Aldena Rose Geddes, 66, Rocklin, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late William Herbert “Bill” and Catherine Eliza “Kay” (Smith) MacDonald. Aldena’s drive for floral design, lead her to Halifax where she owned and operated the Blossom Boutique. After closing the boutique, her career path lead back to Pictou County, where she worked for McArthur’s Floral distributing flowers, which lead to a permanent position with Sobeys West Side floral department until retirement. Post retirement, she worked part-time at Kent, Stellarton. Retirement afforded Aldena the time to pursue her true passion of crafting, which lead to the formation of “The Crafty Sisters”, where she cherished their weekly gatherings. Her memory will live on in the heart of those she loved and the beautiful crafts she made for others to enjoy.
