Obituary of Dale Kipling Mason

Dale Kipling “Kip” Mason, 86, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away Thursday January 8^th, 2026 peacefully at the, Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, in the Aberdeen Palliative Care Unit with his wife Darlene by his side.

He was the son of the late George and Vivian (Young) Mason, His career began in sales and later management at Central Supplies, after a short time off he worked with Brian Clarke Construction. during retirement he enjoyed doing genealogy on his family, doing daily crosswords in the Harold, watching NASCAR and spending weekends together at the camp as well going on many 3-Wheeler trips with his wife Darlene.

Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Darlene (Moulton) Mason; son, Robert (Trudy) Mason, Ottawa Ont; step-sons, Michael (Danielle) Kontuk, Calgary Alta, Jeffery (Sharleen) Kontuk, Pictou; sister-in-law Debby Moulton; nephew, Sean Rutledge; brother-in-law, George (Nancy) Moulton; grandchildren, Daniel, Liam, Reilly, Noah, Hope; great-granddaughter, Sophia.

Would like to thank Vally View Villa for the care and kindness during his stay, also to the doctor and nurses at the Palliative Care Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital for his care and there comforting words as well as a very special thank you to family and friends at this difficult time.

In keeping with Kips wishes there will be no visitation or service and cremation has taken place.
