Obituary of Raymond Clarence Gratto

Raymond Clarence Gratto, 76, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Raymond Douglas and Edna Mary (Avery) Gratto. Raymond enjoyed camping and fishing with friends, playing pool at the New Glasgow Pub, and playing cards with his friends. His favorite game was ‘Crib’.  Raymond loved snowmobiling with his cousins and friends.

Surviving are his sisters, Linda Terpstra, London, Ont.; Janet Goodwin, Riverton; Margaret MacIntosh, New Glasgow; Paula Kenney, New Glasgow; Brenda MacPherson (Richard Fennell), New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Sharon MacNeil and Jean Craig; nephew, Shawn Gratto; brothers-in-law, Francis Allen “Frank” Craigand, Tom Terpstra.

A family Graveside Service will take place at a later date.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Raymond will be laid to rest with his mom and dad in Christ the King Cemetery.
