I was saddened to hear of Wayne’s passing. Charlie ( Chuck) shared many stories of their time as youngsters and cousins spent on the beach and in their back yards ‘ in the Harbour’. Later in life, they always managed to connect at the car shows to swap lies and jokes. Hold all your memories of Wayne’s sense of humour and kind heart close and share them with others . He will be missed.

Wayne was always willing to lend a helping hand. I remember when we moved into our house in 2004, mom (Bev) mentioned we had an electrical job to be done. Next thing we knew, Wayne was at our house doing it himself plus extra! He said we also needed a light under our basement stairs so he did that too. I took the attached picture the last time I saw Wayne before he went in to the hospital, out for a boat ride in August of 2025. Condolences to his family and friends. He’ll be missed.

Wayne was a dear friend. We met at Camp Geddie. He was our maintenance man and I was the cook. On days when I would have meat loaf he would never miss taking a break to have a plate. When Wayne retired as maintenance he just needed to wait for a phone call and he would be down for meatloaf day. He will be greatly missed. To the family my deepest sympathy. Lorraine Wright.

Dear Wayne: For decades only a narrow road divided our homes. You were a great neighbour and the finest friend. Always a good laugh, good story to share. And your lawn mowing was fantastic. We looked out for each other and our various animals over the years. If one of our dogs went missing, we knew where they went, over to see you. Thanks for the great memories. We will miss you and remember you well.
To Wayne’s lovely family and Adelaide: We are thinking of you and send our warm regards. His death is such a loss to so many. However, even through this sadness, thinking about him brings a smile to our faces. Just couldn’t help but feel good around him. Quite a legacy to leave behind. He lives on in his family and we look forward to remembering him with you.❤️

For several years, Wayne was our faithful and talented ‘fix it’ guy for Camp Geddie. He kept the lawns looking like a golf course and the property in beautiful shape, all with a smile and his infamous overalls. I will always be grateful for all he did for us. My deepest sympathy is extended to all his family. Audrey Cameron
