Obituary of Albert Wayne Facey
Albert Wayne Facey, 82
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one, Albert Wayne Facey, Thursday January 22, 2026.
Born in New Glasgow he resided in Kings Head and Plymouth. He was the son of the late Albert Facey and Edna (Fraser) Facey. Wayne was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as an electrician for over 40 years, having been employed with Northern Pulp for 20 of those years. His greatest joys included being outdoors, hunting, fishing and going for long drives. He was an avid swimmer at the Pictou County YMCA and always enjoyed time spent with his fellow swimmers.
Surviving are his daughters, Kirsti (Jack) Farrell and Amanda Facey; son, Dale (Laura) Facey, and sister Eva MacPherson; grandkids, Carter, Hannah, Drake and Karly; great-grandsons, Axton and Jax; companion, Adelaide MacDonald and family; dear friend, Bev Scott and family.
Predeceased by his sister, Diane Dumont.
Wayne was a uniquely kind man always there to lend a helping hand, he will be missed.
Thank you to the compassionate care provided on the palliative care unit at the Aberdeen hospital.
A Celebration of Life and Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made in Wayne's memory to the Aberdeen Health Foundation Palliative Care Fund.
