Doris Kathleen (LeBlanc) Gaynor, 107

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Doris Kathleen Gaynor (nee. LeBlanc) aged 107, Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of Caribou Island. Doris passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Valley View.

Born in 1918 in Minudie, Cumberland County, she was the daughter of Charles and Ada (Comeau) LeBlanc. She is survived by son Robert, his partner Ellis Roddick, Caribou Island and daughter Judith Hall, Cornwall, U.K.

Doris was the beloved wife of Robert (Bob) (d. 1996). She was Grandmother to Tamsin, Perran, and Daniel (d.2008) and Great Grandmother to Fenna and Esmee.

Predeceased by brothers Stephen, Ted, and Victor and sisters Adel, Mabel, and Marion. She was also a beloved aunt, cousin, friend, and neighbour.

She was a former member of the Catholic Women's League, St. Joseph's Guild, and the Altar Society. Raised in the Roman Catholic Church her faith was constant  and always an important part of her life.

There will be no visitation by request. A memorial Mass will be held at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church in Pictou. Arrangements to be made at a later date. There will be a private interment.
