Obituary of Marsha Lynn McGee
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Marsha McGee.
Born on December 30, 1944, in New Glasgow, Marsha journeyed through life with a warrior's spirit until she left this world on March 3, 2026, surrounded by the warmth of her family at her home in Edmonton, Alta.
Marsha was a cherished daughter of the late George Clifford and Muriel Jean "Mo" (Crooks) Foote. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband of 39 years, Frank McGee, whose love and partnership she treasured throughout their time together. Marsha was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Dave McDaniel.
A woman of unwavering strength and deep convictions, Marsha was a beacon of love and courage. Her belief in the power of family and friendship was the cornerstone of her life. She lived bravely, never shying away from life's challenges, and she loved with an open heart that knew no bounds. Her steadfast nature drew people to her, and she found immense joy and solace in the company of her family and the cherished friends she held dear.
Marsha's legacy is lovingly carried forward by her sister, Dellia McDaniel; her daughters, Tracey (Jade) Wong and Tari (Graeme) Van Dongen; and her treasured grandchildren, Kade, Jayson, and Sam Wong, and Luke and Charlie Shaw. Her family extended to include her chosen son, Michael Brown, as well as numerous in-laws, cousins, and dear friends.
In Marsha's memory, her family extends a heartfelt invitation to honor her life by considering organ donation. In lieu of flowers or donations, Marsha and her family would be deeply grateful if you would consider signing your organ donation card and ensuring your family is aware of your wishes.
A graveside service will be held in French River Cemetery at a later date.
Lovingly submitted by family.
