Obituary of Ryan Daniel Taylor

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Ryan Daniel Taylor at age 43, on March 18, 2026.

Born in New Glasgow, Ryan was the son of Shawna Taylor and step-father Robbie Clyburn and the grandson of Lorraine Taylor. Ryan was a trained cabinet maker, carpenter and was a long time employee with Michelin. A devoted father, Ryan dedicated his days to his family and friends. When he was younger he was found playing basketball, hockey, softball, etc. and he was always up for a game of pool, poker or washer toss. Ryan was generous and kind, he always had time to help a friend. He cherished his beautiful daughters, Elizabeth and Jessie.

Ryan is survived by his mother, Shawna and step-father, Robbie, New Glasgow. His Nan, Lorraine Taylor, New Glasgow. His daughters: Elizabeth Taylor and her mom, Amber Scott (New Glasgow); Jessie Taylor and her mom, Siobhan Melanson (Eureka). Step-brother: Justin Clyburn and his wife Janine (New Glasgow). Their daughters: Guylaine, Mia, Nevaeh, Justine and Shawna - Uncle Ryan loved his nieces! Cousin/Brother Chris McPherson (Heather). Aunts/uncles John Taylor (Lori), Janice McPherson (Richard) and George Taylor (Michelle) and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ryan was predeceased by his beloved brother, Michael MacKenzie.

The family will receive visitors 12-12:50 p.m. Monday, March 23 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
