Obituary of Clara Christina Patey

Clara Christine Patey, 87, Port au Choix, N.L.,, passed away Monday May 11 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, Palliative Care Unit, peacefully surrounded by the love of her family

Born in Port Saunders, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Charlotte (Jennex) Gould. Clara was a hard worker and great mother who raised 8 wonderful children who loved her with the same amount of love she had for them, she possessed great faith in the lord. As well she loved all animals and would feed any who came to her door but especially she loved her cat Cinnamon.

Surviving are her daughters, Karen Offery, Port au Choix; Bernice (Robert) Cumming, Trenton; Daphanie (Steve) Patey, Fort McMurray,  Alta.; sons, Lloyd Patey, Port au Choix;  Sherlock (Joan) Patey,  St. John’s, N.L,; Robert (Betty) Patey, St. John’s; Matthew Patey, Port au Choix; sisters, Mary Synder, California; Paulette Gould, Port au Choix; Janice Gould (Rick Cooper), Port au Choix; Evyone Gould, Port au Choix; brother, John Gould, Port au Choix; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son Michael Patey and many more relatives.

The family would like to thank the Aberdeen Hospital Emergency and Palliative Care Staff for their love, respect and overall care they had for Clara.
