Robert Mason "Rob" White, December 16, 1979 - May 13, 2026

Following a brief illness, Rob passed just as he lived – quietly and peacefully, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow.  At this sad time, Rob's family would like to thank his nurses and other supporting staff at the Aberdeen for their wonderful care and compassion for Rob and ourselves during his final days, hours, and moments.

Rob’s spirit was joyously reunited and welcomed with loving arms by his father Robert Cecil White (Bob) 20 years to the day that he was laid to rest on May 13, 2006. In addition to his father, Rob (July 18, 1935 to May 9, 2006), Rob was predeceased by grandparents George and Lillian White and Gertrude and Malcolm Mason, his beloved Aunt, Dolly (White) Johnson, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Rob is survived by his mother Maxine Evelyn (Mason) White,  sister Kim Cameron, brother Bradley (Debbie) Cameron, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and “family by choice”  Tanya, Amanda, Melissa, and Sandra,  as well as his nieces Courtney and Delaney who he adored, nephews Alex, AJ, and Mason, and a growing brood of great nieces and nephews with Cameron, Sophia, Bradley, Bentley, Navy, Sadie, and Baby Luca born April 24, 2026.

Rob will be remembered and missed by everyone who’s lives he touched for many things – his intelligence, his humor, his grace towards others no matter their flaws or missteps, his willingness to help in whatever capacity he could with any problem, and most of all the “ I love you’s”  that  were never left unsaid at the end of every day, every phone call, and every conversation.

Per Rob’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of P. & K MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow,  and a private family burial will be arranged for a later date.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Rob’s memory to the Evergreen Cemetery, Cross Roads Country Harbour,  Aberdeen Health Foundation Palliative Care Unit, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.

“Those we love don’t go away,

They walk beside you every day,

Unseen, unheard, but always near,

So loved, so missed, so very dear.”

Lovingly written by family.
