Obituary of Adam Richard Leslie Bugden
Adam Richard Leslie Bugden, 41, Blue Mountain, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Richard William (Heather) Allard and the late Janet Marie (Bugden) Turple. Adam was raised in Little Harbour and MacLellan’s Mountain. He was a member of the first North Nova Educational Centre graduating class of 2003. Following graduation, Adam enlisted in the Canadian Army where he enjoyed a 19-year career before being medically discharged in 2023. He obtained the rank of Corporal and was stationed at CFB Greenwood, CFB Shiloh and completed two NATO postings in the Middle East. Adam enjoyed camping, fishing, and gardening. He would be often seen “playing” with his John Deere tractor doing yard work or plowing snow in the wintertime. Adam loved his property and had a major landscaping plan in place. He often commented to his family how much enjoyed living in Blue Mountain and how wonderfully his neighbours treated him. Adam enjoyed spending time with his dad, never beginning a project or contemplating an idea without his input. He cherished his stepmom Heather’s advice and listening ear and enjoyed reconnecting with his siblings after returning to the county. Above all, his daughters, Hailie and Paige, for whom he deeply cared, were the “jewels in his crown”. Adam will be remembered as a charismatic, independent man who would “give the shirt of his back”.
Surviving besides his father, Richard (Heather) Allard, MacLellan’s Mountain are daughters, Hailie Eisan (Thomas), Trenton; Paige Bugden, Minto, N.B.; sisters, Robin Pike, Westville; Ryleigh Turple, Stellarton; brother, Richard Turple, New Glasgow; step-grandfather; John Tracey, MacLellan’s Mountain; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
