Obituary of Linda Diane Chisholm

Linda Diane Chisholm, 78, Merigomish, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Allister and Edith Carolyn “Toots” (Meyer) Durdle. Prior to retirement, Linda was employed as a Personal Care Worker with Glen Haven Mannor, New Glasgow, for 25 years having previously been employed in Greenwood for 20 years. After some convincing, she readily joined Glenn for motorbike rides throughout the county and province. Linda was a quiet lady who always seen the best in others. She leaves a rich legacy of love and devotion.

Surviving are her husband of 34 years, J. Glenn Chisholm; sister, Judie (Mike) Haché, Halifax; Allister (Brenda) Durdle, Middleton; sisters-in-law, Stephanie (Dan) Jukich, Burnaby, B.C.; Carmel Chisholm Bailey’s Brook; Carol Lea (Bruce) Farrell, Brookville; Krista Chisholm (Hubert), Sussex, N.B.; brothers-in-law, Ford (Patsy) Chisholm, Cornwall, Ont.; Colin Chisholm, Toronto, Ont.; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother-in-law, Jim Izzard.

In honor of Linda’s wishes, her family will celebrate her life privately.
