Obituary of Carrie Alvira Myrtle Brantner

WESTVILLE – Carrie Alvira Myrtle Brantner, 89, Westville, passed away Friday, May 22, 2009 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Londonderry Mines, Colchester County, she was a daughter of the late James and Eunice (Boutilier) Copp. Carrie attended school in Londonderry Mines, was employed in Truro and for many years with the Hudson Bay Company, Toronto. She was a most kind, caring and thoughtful person. Her faith in the Lord was central to the way she lived her life. Surviving are her husband, Robert Leon Brantner, Westville; sister, Mabel Copp, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow; brother-in-law, Ross Davidson, Truro; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Lloyd Green; sisters, Inez (Fraser) Murray, Cora Davidson, Bessie (Sid) Kennedy, Mary (Russell Ross) (Herman) Felderhof; brothers, Allie, Clayton and Edgar. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 26th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dave Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Auburn Cemetery, Westville. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in her memory to the The Salvation Army.
