Obituary of Ulysse and Arolina Kehoe
Ulysse Arthur Kehoe, 79, Abington, Mass., died Thursday, August 23, 2012, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his wife, Arolina Catherine (Smith) Kehoe, 76, who passed away peacefully on May 4, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Ulysse was born in Rocky Bay, a son of the late James and Artemis (Cavanaugh) Kehoe. Arolina was born in Broadway, a daughter of the late William and Marion (Wilkinson) Smith.
He resided in Massachusetts for almost 60 years. Prior to retirement, he was an Operating Engineer with Local 4 IUOE for over 40 years. Arolina graduated from St. Martha’s Schools of Nursing in 1956 and worked at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence and Beth Israel Hospital, Boston.
Ulysse and Arolina celebrated 52 years of marriage, devotion and love. They were loving parents who will be missed by all who loved them
Surviving are daughters, Janine (Richard) Mills, United Kingdom; Lorraine (David) Wood, Hanover, Mass.; grandson, James Wood; sister, Alice C. Rose, Oregon; brother, Daniel, Massachusetts; sisters-in-law, Janet (Clifford) MacKenzie, Pleasant Valley; Marlene Smith Teague, Broadway; many nieces and nephews.
Ulysse and Arolina were predeceased by their parents, his sister, Mary and brothers, John, William, Howard, Bernard and Junior.
A graveside service, for Ulysse and Arolina, will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 30, in Kenzieville Cemetery, Kenzieville with Rev. Dr. J. Kenneth MacLeod presiding. A reception will follow in Barney’s River Presbyterian Church Hall, Kenzieville.
