Obituary of David William Tracey
NEW GLASGOW – David William “Willie” Tracey, 18, New Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax, as the result of a recent skateboarding accident.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Kathy Tracey, New Glasgow. Willie was to graduate from North Nova Education Centre, New Glasgow, this evening. He was an employee of Sobey’s, Stellarton. He enjoyed skate boarding, hockey, the UFC, playing Xbox and working on his laptop. Willie’s family and friends were extremely important to him.
Surviving are his mother, Kathy Tracey (Paul Matheson), New Glasgow; maternal grandmother, Beverly Tracey, New Glasgow; maternal grandfather, Billy (Valerie) Tracey, Springville; sisters, Michelle Tracey (Zac Martin), Dartmouth; Megan Tracey (Joey Lawrence), New Glasgow; Erin Tracey, at home; brother, Josh Tracey, at home; girlfriend, Adrianna Eyking, Antigonish; aunt, Ruby Tracey (Pat Rae), Saskatchewan; uncles, Billy Tracey, New Glasgow; Luke Tracey (Bonnie Krill), Stellarton; niece, Asia; nephew, Nolie; cousins, Ellis, Kailee, Sadie, Cory; many cousins and friends.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Saturday, June 26th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 27th in First Presbyterian Church, 208 MacLean Street, New Glasgow with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
