Obituary of Elizabeth Bradley Cameron
MERIGOMISH – Elizabeth Bradley “Betty” Cameron, 92, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Merigomish, passed away, Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in the Manor.
Born on May 22, 1926 in The Ponds, she was a daughter of the late George Lawrence and Marjorie (Smith) Arbuckle. She was a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Merigomish. Betty cherished a close relationship with her family and will be remembered for her loving kindness.
Surviving are daughter, Gayle (Blair) Crooks, Dartmouth; sons, Lawrence (Marlene), Abercrombie; Phillip “Phil” (Barb), Truro; Richard, Lower Barneys River; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great, great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Robertson, Orangeville, Ont.; Phyllis Murdock, The Ponds; Beverly (Ewart) Kingsbury, Markham, Ont.; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Barry H. “Bunny” Cameron; grandson, Shane Cameron; daughter-in-law, Ina Cameron; sisters, Muriel Arbuckle, Mildred Cameron, Gloria (MacDonald) Sheehan; brother, Robert Arbuckle.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 29th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30th in the chapel with Rev. Andrew S. MacDonald officiating. Interment will be in Murray’s Point Cemetery, Lower Barney’s River.
