Hi from Ottawa Marie's daughter, Sherry sent me an email last night. Stephen & Jill return from a one week vacation on July 8.That's good that Fr.Colin could be there with Theresa at the end. I hope to get to NS sometime this summer. My younger brother Ron moved in June to Minto, NB. So I'd like to fly to " & rent a car to drive to Ardness.(but since I no longer have a licence,I need somebody to drive me) Paul ; Do you remember the day that you & David went fishing up the brook & Marguerite was so worried when she heard that there were bears up there. That seems like 100 years ago, but everytime I return to Ardness & see the brook,it seems like it happened a week ago. I was glad that Theresa met David's two children last summer & Nicole is registered to go to Dal in Sept 2012. I'm sure Marguerite is watching over things and would also like to say goodbye to you too Theresa. Love Bill

To all of Theresa’s family, my condolences on your loss. I have many wonderful memories of summers visiting my grandparents and spending hours at Theresa’s store with my cousins. It seems like if we weren’t at the beach or in the brook we were in the store. I’m sure the profits on pop and candy dropped significantly when I was visiting as Theresa was always generous with sweets from the store and with her time, listening to our many tales of fishing in the brook. Two summers ago I had the opportunity to drop by the store for the first time in many years and with my kids who met Theresa for the first time. She was exactly as I remembered her and she of course treated us all to tea, homemade biscuits and jam...the kids marvelled at her vitality and speak of her often whenever the topic of Nova Scotia comes up. My thoughts are with you all. David Bird

I have many many fond memories of your mother. I grew up next door to the store and enjoyed many of her delicious t-biscuits with molasses growing up and on subequent visits back home. I was so happy to hear that Father Colin was able to do the service - my brother Hughie Jerome told me how lovely it was - what a great send off. I am sure she will be missed by all.
