Obituary of Linda Victoria Chisholm
LOWER BARNEYS RIVER - Linda Victoria Chisholm, 57, Lower Barneys River passed away Sunday April 5, 2009 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family.
Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Myrtle (Cotter) Briard. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Egerton. She had been employed at the former Lismore Sea foods for 36 years. Linda enjoyed playing darts in the Merigomish Fire Hall Mixed Dart League and spending time with her dog, Buddy. Her family was of the utmost importance to her.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, James Daniel “Jim”; daughters, Belinda (David) O’Connor,The Ponds; Penny Chisholm (Allan Francis), Fredericton; Jim Chisholm (Jo-Ann Asprey), Sheet Harbour; sisters, Jo-Ann(Allan) Dorey, Pictou; Diane Falconer, Scotsburn; Judy (Earl) MacDonald, Pictou; grandchildren, Ally ,Ashley, Lindsey, Chloe and Makayla; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Bernie Sarson.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Lismore with Rev. Colin MacKinnon presiding. Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Egerton.
