Obituary of Allan Hector Paris
NEW GLASGOW Allan Hector “Gob” Paris, 74, New Glasgow passed away peacefully Saturday, May 16th , 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late James Albert and Ida Alice (Jewell) Paris. He was a member of Second United Baptist Church, New Glasgow and the Men’s Brotherhood. Allan had worked for different business over the years such as a masonry, carpenter, bartender, miner and labourer. Allan was a loving, husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, uncle and friend.
Surviving are children, Darryl Paris (Mary), New Glasgow; Lorna (Roger) MacLellan, Antigonish; Lisa Paris (Raymond), Metagan; De’anne Paris, Moncton; Leon Paris (Tanya), Moncton and Michael Paris (Andrea), New Glasgow; 12 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren; sisters, Florrie Borden, New Glasgow; Peggy (Dave) Cosh, New Glasgow; sisters-in-law, Doreen Paris, New Glasgow; Teresa Paris, London Ontario; brothers, James (Ann) Paris, Laval Quebec; Thomas Paris, Montreal; and his former wife, Estelle Jane Paris, New Glasgow; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Beside his parents, Allan was predeceased by his sisters, Maxine Paris, Mildred Major, Clara Paris and Nancy Paris; brothers, Barry Paris, John Paris and Norman “Turk” Paris.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday, May 21st, 2015 in P & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 22nd, 2015 in Second United Baptist Church, New Glasgow with Rev. Dr. Moses Adekola officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow.
