Obituary of Budd Leslie Myles
PICTOU LANDING – Budd Leslie Myles, 74, Pictou Landing, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Nathan Kinsmen and Dorothy Leota (England) Myles. Prior to retirement, Budd was employed as a carpenter and in small engine repair. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Pictou Landing and Scotia Lodge No. 11, IOOF, Westville. Budd was active in the Pictou County ATV Club and the Pictou Landing Fire Department for many years. He was an accomplished fly tyer and enjoyed fly fishing. Budd was an easy-going person, who enjoyed being with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth; son, Marty (Ann) Myles, Pictou; stepdaughters, Chrissy Wilson, Pictou Landing; Molly (Hazen) Green, Brampton, Ont.; stepsons, Vernon MacLeod, Alma; Ross (Beth) MacLeod, Edward (Tanya) MacLeod, David (Donna) MacLeod, Brampton; Charlie (Sue) McVicar, Innisfil, Ont.; Brian (Kathy) McVicar, Brampton; Alan McVicar, Egerton; two sisters; four brothers; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday February 21st in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday February 22nd in Bethel Presbyterian Church, Pictou Landing with Rev. Lorne MacLeod officiating. Spring interment will be in Hillside Cemetery.
