Obituary of Lucille Winnifred Cotton
RIVERTON – Lucille Winnifred “Lucy” Cotton, 69, Riverview Adult Residential Centre, Riverton, formerly of Trenton, passed away Friday, April 17, 2009, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Winnifred Pauline (Demone) Cotton. She was a member of the former St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Trenton. Lucille was employed with Summer Street Industries, New Glasgow for many years. She enjoyed attending the church services held in the Centre, listening to music and dancing. She loved her pet dogs, Lady and Charlie.
Surviving are sisters, Rosalie (Danny) Connors, Brandon, Man.; Sherri Wiegers, Lower Sackville; Elizabeth “Liz” (Wade) Russell, Trenton; Gail Cameron, Ontario; brother, Eric Cotton, Trenton; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; her extended family at Riverview Adult Residential Centre.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Lewis F. Cotton and William L. Cotton.
The family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. Monday, April 20th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 21st with Archdeacon Peter Armstrong presiding. Interment will follow in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
