Obituary of Connie Mae Frazee

FRASER'S MOUNTAIN - Connie Mae Frazee, 42, Fraser's Mountain, passed away suddenly, Monday, November 17, 2008. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Rose (O'Connor) Brightman, Fraser Mountain and the late Donald Brightman. She was a figure skating coach and taught figure skating to children all over Nova Scotia. As a coach, she went to Canadian games twice. She was a director in Melacleuca. Connie greatly enjoyed teaching children and loved her family. Surviving are her husband of 23 years, Steven; son, Sandy, at home; sisters, Carol (Ray) Gillis, Pine Tree; Darlene (Barry) MacDougall, New Glasgow; Kay Robson, New Glasgow; brothers, Wayne (Elva) Brightman, Country Harbour; Reg (Debbie) Brightman, Little Harbour Rd; mother and father-in-law, George and Joyce Frazee, New Glasgow; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Derick Brightman. The family will receive visitors 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Christian Fellowship Church, New Glasgow with Rev. Helen Christie officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the IWK Health Centre Foundation or The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada.
