Obituary of Constance Rose Campbell

LINACY – Constance Rose “Connie” Campbell, 79, Linacy, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family. Born in Mulgrave, she was a daughter of the late John William and Sabina Elizabeth (Atwater) Kinney. She was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church, the Woman’s Club and Ladies Auxiliary, Stellarton. In earlier years, she had been employed at Zellers Restaurant, Aberdeen Mall, New Glasgow. Connie enjoyed hunting and fishing. Her love for God and family was unfailing. Surviving are her husband, John Peter; daughters, Irene (Raymond) MacLeod, Kenzieville; Beverley Dobbin (Bernie MacLean), New Glasgow; Elsie MacGillivray, B.C.; Betty (Darryl) Jordan, MacPhersons Mills; son, John, Linacy; brothers, Angus (Bonnie) Kinney, Sydney; Clayton (Gloria) Kinney, Lochaber; grandchildren, Sandy, Cathy, Sabina, Harry, Connie, Alisha, Dale; great-grandchildren, Khia, Juliette, Ainjelina and Danica; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Marjorie Carter, Dorothy “Dot” Swain, Elsie MacDonald, Irene in infancy; brothers, Millard and John. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27th in the chapel with Rev. Vincent Hanley and Rev. Jonathan McNair officiating. Interment will be in Lorne Street Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made in her memory to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
