Obituary of Fraser Johnson Ross

NEW GLASGOW - Fraser Johnson Ross, 84, Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late George Neil and Hazel Mary (Arthur) Ross. Fraser was a hard worker all his life, from driving trucks, carpentry, and several other trades – he was never idle. He and his wife, Paulette met on a blind date and were married on August 1, 1987, sharing “the best 34 years of their lives”. Surviving are his wife and best friend, Meta Paulette (Robar); daughter, Tammy Ann Ross (Wayne Westaway); son, Fraser Neil (Sandra) Ross; grandson, Kenneth and Cole (Mirria); great-granddaughter, Presley; sisters, Dorothy (Eustace) Reeves, Diane (Sonny) Ross, Marilyn Renshaw, Shirley MacConnell, Elaine (Bruce) Lewis, Beverly (Fred) Cameron; brothers, Carl, James (Irene), Donald, Burton (Grace) and William “Bill”; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Alice (Patriquin); a sister in infancy; a young brother, Clarence; sister-in-law, Caroline Ross; brothers-in-law, Allen Renshaw and Joseph MacConnell. His family will honour his life privately. Fraser’s family wish to thank, Dr. Forbes, Dr. Rivera, Valley View Villa Staff, Pictou County VON Staff and Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit Staff.
