Obituary of Daniel Brenton Cameron

FRENCH RIVER – Daniel Brenton “Moose” Cameron, 62, French River, passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Clyde Francis and Anna Christine (Chisholm) Cameron. He began working with his father for the Department of Highways and was employed with Albert MacCullum Surveying. He retired from Michelin Tire, Granton after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, working in his garage and having his cat, Cotton with him. His greatest passion in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Donna Lea (Guthro); daughter, Angie (Clem) Patterson and their children, Travis and Daniel, Greenwood; sons, Brent (Sharon) and their children, Bobby, Corey and granddaughter, Racheall; Mark (Jody) and their children, Katilyn and Madison, Westville; Dwayne (Leanne), New Glasgow; sisters, Shirley (Frank) Norman, St. Margaret’s Bay; Kay MacInnis (Jim Foote), Moose River; Debbie (Allan) Miller, Lethbridge, Alta.; brothers, Wayne (Jeannetta), Riverton; Mervin (Gladys), New Glasgow; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel with Rev. Calvin Crichton officiating. Interment will be in Priestville Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to Priestville Cemetery Fund or Knox Presbyterian Church, Blue Mountain, RR #5, New Glasgow, NS B2H 5C8.
