Obituary of Mark Robert Earl MacLean

CHANCE HARBOUR – Mark Robert Earl MacLean, 46, Chance Harbour, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at home following a brief illness. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Robert Earl MacLean and Beverly Norma (Greene) MacLean. Mark could “turn his hand to anything”. He cherished spending time with his one-year-old son, Malachi, teaching him to ride a bike and dance. Mark possessed a “heart of gold”, “do anything for anyone” and “help you if he could”. He enjoyed dancing, being outside, especially the solitude of riding his four-wheeler for hours. For Mark, “Life has changed; not ended!” Surviving are his mother, Norma (Elwood Reid), New Glasgow; father, Robert MacLean, Chance Harbour; son, Malachi Chapman, Stellarton; sisters, Gail (David) Dwyer, Chance Harbour; Kelly MacLean (Tim Wolfe), Westville; Lacey MacLean (Braedon Byrnes), New Glasgow; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; several cousins. In honour of Mark, his family will celebrate his life privately. If desired, donations may be made in Mark's memory to the IWK Foundation. (Please click on the underlined to donate online.)
