Obituary of Vera Charlotte MacPhee

NEW GLASGOW – Vera Charlotte MacPhee, 74, New Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Francis Norbert and the late Harriet Roletta (Jones) Connors. Vera had been a homecare provider for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton. Vera enjoyed watching baseball, reading books and doing puzzles. Surviving are her sisters, Daisy Connors, New Glasgow; Judith Connors, Plymouth; brothers, Daniel Connors, Brandon, Man.; Keith (Joan) Connors, Prince George, B. C.; Blaine (Debra) Connors, Westville; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors 10 – 10:50 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with Father Donald Boudreau presiding. Interment will be in Our Lady Lourdes Cemetery, Stellarton. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in Vera's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Nova Scotia Lung Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
