Obituary of Patricia Ann Richard
STELLARTON – Patricia Ann “Pat” Richard, 63, Stellarton, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at home, surrounded by family.
Born in Sackville, N.B., she was a daughter of the late James Aubrey Brunswick and Annie Ida (Wilson) Coombs. She had been employed at the former Arisaig Fisheries, Lismore. She was a former member of the Michelin Social Club Ladies Auxiliary and Merigomish and District Fire Department Social Club. Pat was an avid dart player and an amazing cook. She was a “mom” to many of her coworkers and children’s friends. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Mark; daughters, Paula (Joey) Swallow, Thorburn; Jennifer Richard (Gordon), New Glasgow; honorary daughter, Amanda Hennessey, Pictou; sons, Michael (Heather), Unity, Sask.; Jim (Anna), Thorburn; Jeff (Darlene), MacLellan’s Brook; Wendell, New Glasgow; Stephen (Sara), Westville; grandchildren, Sarah, Lindsay, Brandon, Gordon, Peter, Melissa, Nicholas, Mark, Emily, Melanie, Andrew, Joey, Shayleigh and Carly; honorary grandchildren, Anna, Ashley, Cohen and Richard; sister, Geraldine Estabrooks, Sackville; brothers, Lewis (Margaret), George (Harriet) and Marcus (Angela), Sackville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, James and Wilson.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
