He was one of the most respected teachers at Westville High School and set a precedent for other teachers to follow. I believe he referred to his classroom as Channel 32 and would say that it was a calm, quiet and peaceful Channel. We need more teachers like Mr. Alexander. Channel 32 is now silent but I will remember it fondly. Thank you Mr. Alexander.

Very, very saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He taught or tried to teach me math in grade seven. I was not real good at it. Years later I was privileged to be teaching school in a classroom next to his. He would give me the old nod when he thought I did something right in the hallway during supervision. We would talk salmon fly tying and compare flies. I actually met he and Sharon one July day I believe at the Crow's Nest Pool on the famous St. Mary's River. I was honoured to speak at his retirement and tried not to break down as he meant that much to me. Good fishing and tight lines Bill.
