Obituary of Norman Allen Watson
SWAN LAKE, MAN. - Norman Allen Watson, 46, Swan Lake, Man., formerly of Coalburn, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 in Portage la Prairie, Man. as the result of an automobile accident.
Born in New Glasgow he was a son of Catherine and Dave Dean, Coalburn and David and Darlene Watson, Ainsworth, B.C. He was a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces having served with the Princes Patricia Light Infantry. He was employed with Emergency Medical Services, Swan Lake and was a member of the Swan Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving besides his parents are his wife, Nadine Van Den Bussche; daughters, Irena and her children, Amy, Brennan and Daniel, North Bay, Ont.; Tanya, Winnipeg; sons, John David, North Bay; Charles (Cherish) and their children, Nevin and Lance, Saskatoon, Sask.; Jason (Rachel) and their son, Justin, Creston, B.C.; David, at home; sisters, Nancy (Eric) Mercer, Prince George, B.C.; Laura (Carl) Polych, Burnaby, B.C.; brothers, Mike (Gretta), MacLellan’s Brook; Paul (Bev), Four Mile Brook; half-brother, Artie Dean, Coalburn; step-sisters, Zelda (Don) Crossman, New Glasgow; Irene (Ed) Joyce, Lyons Brook; Elizabeth (Marty) Conrad, Digby; Sherry (Greg) Skidmore, Creston; Betty-Ann, Lolita (Andy) White, Toronto, Ont.; step-brothers, Alex (Beth) Dean, Hamilton, Ont.; Capt. Ed (Charlotte) Dean, Maple Ridge, Sask.; Kevin (Maryann) Dean, Avondale; James (Dar) Dean, Trenton; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his step-brother, Pte. William Dean.
Funeral Service will be held at the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Swan Lake, MB on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Captain Ed Dean officiating.
A Private Family Burial will follow in the Swan Lake United Church Cemetery, Swan Lake, MB.
Arrangements are entrusted to Budz Funeral Service, Holland, MB.
