Obituary of Ronald Keith Hill

NEW GLASGOW – Ronald Keith Hill, 76, New Glasgow, formerly of Linacy, passed away, Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Donald Elmer and Harriet Mae (MacKenzie) Hill. In earlier years he was a painter and in later years, prior to retirement was employed in forestry. He was a former member and fire chief of Linacy Fire Department. Keith enjoyed spending time with friends at the New Glasgow Pub and when his health permitted was an avid hunter. He was a loving father, papa and great-grandfather. Surviving are his daughters, Diane Hill, Calgary, Alta; Darlene (Frank) Reaume, London, Ont.; sons, Dale (Doreen), The Ponds; Keith (Tasha), Linacy; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his former wife, Joan; grandson, Winston; sister, Faye Aikens. The family will receive visitors 10 – 10:50 a.m. Saturday, October 24th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ryan King officiating. Interment will be in Lorne Cemetery.
