Obituary of Patrick Michael Walsh
HALIFAX/NEW GLASGOW – Patrick Michael “Pat” Walsh, 80, Halifax, formerly of New Glasgow and a long-time resident of Pictou Landing, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 in Northwood Centre, Halifax.
Born in Dartmouth, he was a son of the late Michael J. and Edith Mabel (Patterson) Walsh. Prior to retirement, Pat had been employed with Bolands Foods for 20 years and had been working in grocery stores for most of his working life. He was a kind and gentle man who will be greatly missed by those he loved.
Surviving are nieces, Christine Lutley, Diane Lutley, Janet (Barry) Achorn, Angela (Kerr) MacLeod, Judith Rosewilde (Ian Rogers); nephew, Robert (Chris) Lutley; many grand nieces and grand nephews
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Janet Lutley; brother, Edward Walsh; brother-in-law, Fred Lutley.
A private graveside service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Pictou Landing at a later date.
