Obituary of Margaret Cecilia Peggy MacDonald

LINACY – Margaret Cecilia “Peggy” MacDonald, 79, Linacy, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by her family. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Archibald Dan “Archie” and Margaret Lillian (Lewis) MacDonald. She, along with her late husband, Angus, lovingly raised three sons, of whom, she was very proud. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt who will be dearly missed by those she loved. Surviving are sons, Michael Anthony “Tony”, Toronto, Ont.; Timothy Stephen “Tim”, Linacy; sisters, Anita (Ernie) Murray, Pine Tree; Valerie (Sam) Anderson, Kings Head; brother-in-law, John Currie, Hopewell; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Angus John; son, Jason Wade; sisters, Karen Currie and Rita Fanning; brothers, John Eddy MacDonald and Joseph Patrick “Chow” MacDonald. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 8th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 9th in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow with Father Thomas A. MacNeil presiding.
