Obituary of Trixie Louise Willett
NEW GLASGOW – Trixie Louise Willett, 68, New Glasgow, passed away Friday, December 27, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family.
Born in Riverview, N.B., she was a daughter of the late George Ernest and Kathleen Helen (Christopher) Wallace. Prior to retirement in 2014 Trixie was employed as an Optometric Technician with Dr. Lawrence MacKinnon, having been employed previously with several optometrists. She had also been employed with the former Metropolitan Store, New Glasgow in younger years. Trixie enjoyed camping on Prince Edward Island, attending car shows, fishing and dancing. She was a fun-loving lady who lived life to the fullest. Trixie will be dearly missed by those she loved.
Surviving are her son, John (Crystal) Willett, Trenton; step-daughters, Kim (Tom) Snelgrove, Enfield; Angela (Rob) A’Court, Westville; step-son, Darrin (Susan) Rogers, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Ashley (Darrell), Bailey (Cory), DJ (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Bryson, Brody, Hunter, Layla and Zander; step-grandchildren, Jenna (Mark), Greg (Nicole), Liam, Zachary, Jasmyne, Ali; step, great-grandchild, Cooper; sisters, Vera Wallace, MacLellan’s Brook; Lorelei Wallace (Keith), Linacy; Nicole Wallace (Ralph), Napanee, Ont.; brothers, Walter (Cela) Wallace, Port Credit, Ont.; Timmy Wallace, London, Ont.; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her soulmate, Gordon Rogers; sister, Sarah MacPhee; niece, Kathleen.
The family will receive visitors 10-10:50 a.m. Tuesday, December 31st in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
