Obituary of Clinton Kent MacDonald
ALMA – Clinton Kent MacDonald, Alma, passed away December 24, 2013, after a life filled with fun and adventure.
Born on November 16, 1953, he was the youngest child of the late Scott F. and Rose (Ross) MacDonald.
Clinton was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955, having recently been employed as a heavy equipment operator in Alberta. He had been employed for a period of time on Sable Island, was a woodland contractor for many years and had been a fisherman with Jack Bronson, Pictou. He possessed a great knowledge and appreciation for nature. Clinton enjoyed being out on the water, fishing, trapping, hunting and ski-dooing. He was an avid reader and “seafood chef”. Clinton liked going for road trips throughout the province, Newfoundland and across Canada. He treasured the memories of his trips to Montana and Spain. He looked forward to his daily visits from his furry friends, Bear and Cujo. Clinton was fond of using humour and practical jokes to say “I love you”. He was moved by the plight of others and sought ways to quietly help. Clinton was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. He appreciated all those who brought meaning to his life.
Surviving are his son, Ben (Samantha), their children, Samuel “the little guy” and Lilly “Grampie’s little sweetheart”; daughter, Bobi, and their mother, Marie McCullough, all of Alma; siblings, Scott R. and Pam; sister-in-law, Sherri; aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his dearest friend and brother, Bobby.
At Clinton’s request there will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held. Donations may be made in Clinton’s memory to any charity of choice or as an act of kindness.
