Obituary of Evan Curtis Smith
TRENTON – Evan Curtis Smith, 20, Trenton, passed away Friday, January 16, 2009.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Georgina Elizabeth “Gina” (Andrew) Ross, Trenton and Roderick William “Roddie” Smith (Susan Kellock), Kamsack, Sask. He had attended North Nova Educational Centre, New Glasgow and Prince Andrew High School, Dartmouth. Evan enjoyed skateboarding, music, cooking and “hanging with his buds”. He was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend.
Surviving besides his parents are sister, Rachel Smith, Trenton; step-sister, Amy Ross, Dartmouth; brothers, Gordon Smith (Sharon Kelly), Trenton; Caleb Smith, Kamsack, Sask.; step-brother, Andrew Bennet Ross, Edmonton, Alta. Maternal grandparents, Karen Worthen (Alan Bird), Pictou Landing; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Bert Worthen; paternal grandparents, James and Helen Smith.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Cremation to follow.
